I received this award for a feature-length profile story I wrote about Brooks-sponsored professional runner Gabriele Anderson, who overcame cancer and resumed her running career stronger and faster than ever. The article appeared in the Fall 2010 issue of Urban Plains magazine.
Video featured in a textbook as a digital accompaniment
South Pacific Press
I shot and edited a video story on a 21-year-old grocery owner in rural Iowa and then uploaded the video to YouTube. An educational publishing company in New Zealand (South Pacific Press) found the video and contacted me for permission to use it in the digital component of a textbook they were producing.
