Philosophy:
My style is relational, collaborative and engaged. My understanding as a therapist is informed by my training and clinical experience, but also grounded by a long-held committment to my own psychological work and development. My clinical training has emphasized using a strengths based approach to psychotherapy with a focus on multicultural mental health. I have worked directly with members of the LGBT community, people of color, and the elderly. You and I will work together to build a trusting and non-judgmental relationship where you can feel safe to talk about yourself openly. The strength of our relationship is a crucial foundation for our work together. You know your life better than anyone else. Therefore, we will hold great respect for your wisdom about yourself. I will offer my professional knowledge and wisdom as well, and together, we will work to help you discover how to live the life that is best and most fitting for you.
