Philosophy:

During my chief medical residency at The Queen's Medical Center, I was introduced to the concept of Ho'okupu by the late Reverend Abraham Akaka. The term, literally translated as 'strive forward,' is based on the elements of faith, gratitude, hard work, honesty, integrity, innovative effort, and Aloha. I have adopted Ho'okupu as a guiding principle in the care of my patients and the conduct of my practice.
