A rear break away ballistics vest () having a front section () and a back section () that are securable to one another. The front section () has a first side front section (), a second side front section () and an upper front section (). A release strap () is located on the front section () to permit a user to quickly and easily remove the rear break away ballistics vest () with one hand.
