This additional year of education and clinical training not only gave me the skills to perform all required and beyond duties in any setting but I also earned 40 + hours towards a PhD. than the typical two year MA,MS SLP programs. I am thankful for this additional year allowing me to develop , grow and have the necessary skills and education to provide superior SLP services in numerous settings including but not limited to schools, SNF, hospitals ( Acute and Sub Acute with Pediatrics and Adults as well as clinical training and experience in the NICU and Special Care Nursery) and have independently contracted my SLP services in the Columbia SC area.I consider Assistive Technology, Augmentative Communication and developing individualized appropriate Functional communication systems through proper assessments, evaluations, and utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach to provide the best recommendations and services to improve each individuals communication to their maximum potential. I'm highly skilled and confident in treating moderate to profound communication impairments from birth-age 21, also facilitate appropriate transitional plans for clients over 21 including job coaching, with the hopes of each individual having the best support system and training to be as independent and involved in their community as possible based on their individual strengths and abilities.
