Philosophy:
I practice evidence-based medicine with a patient-centered approach. That means that I find the best, most current data available that relates to my patients' conditions, explain it as clearly as I can, and then we make decisions together about what the right treatment is. I try to look at all of the many factors that might be causing someone's problem, and I believe that the patient's instincts or ideas about what might be going on are crucial factors in diagnosis and treatment planning. I believe the mind affects the body and vice versa. My style overall tends to favor fewer tests and pills, though of course sometimes that is exactly what we need. I also believe everyone should have the right to health care.
