When it comes to treating patients, Dr. Myer feels that educating the patient regarding their complaint leads to a successful doctor-patient relationship. This improved relationship contributes to a more successful treatment outcome because Dr. Myer feels that if the patient truly understands why they are suffering with a specific foot or ankle problem, then they are more likely to abide by the treatment protocol prescribed which will ultimately lead to a successful outcome. Dr. Myer chose to become a podiatrist because of his interest in sports-related medicine. However, in addition to diagnosing and managing multiple types of sports-related injuries of the foot and ankle, Dr. Myer also manages foot and ankle pathologies related to diabetes, reconstruction, and trauma.
