If you asked most real estate licensees what they do for a living, they will say “I sell real estate”. But even though I sold over $24,000,000 in real estate in 2012 that’s not the answer I give. I choose to consult, not sell. In fact, if you feel like you are ever being sold (being told only what you want to hear) you should run the other direction clinching your purse or wallet. Consulting at it’s heart is about offering quality, transparent choices, needs analysis and resoponsible options. On the other hand, selling has one single purpose; to sell you something. Sometimes the best option for a client is not not buy or sell at all! (Or not now). My team and I are focused on identifying your needs and then helping you reach them. Although we work in the real estate profession, our true passion is as teachers, instructors and guides. By the way, consultative service is not limited to transactions. As an example, it is great to be able to receive objective counsel on the real estate market when you are not sure what you want to do or just need honest dialog to analyze a different perspective. That is how we operate. Before I started my real estate career, I worked in construction and was responsible for the installation, inspection, design and repairs of fire protection systems across the state of Alaska. From churches and schools to rocket launchers and ammunition bunkers our goal was to get the job done right, on time and on budget. It is there that I developed my theory for success in all things.
