Abstract:
An apparatus and method for preparing a pH balanced saline solution and using the saline solution for rinsing tissue. The apparatus includes a container having flexible sidewalls and an opening for a removable cap. The cap has a rounded convex upper portion curving away from an opening at the caps uppermost surface and has a conduit in the caps interior, which conduit extends into the container when the apparatus is fully assembled or is connected to a tube that extends in the container. A saline solution is prepared by adding sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate to distilled or boiled water. The sidewalls of the container are compressed to urge the saline solution through the conduit, or tube and conduit, and through the opening in the cap. The solution can be used to rinse tissue, such as a mucus membrane, eye tissue, skin or tissue inside an oral cavity.

The present disclosure relates to a portable ampoule with a specialized tip and sealer. In a general aspect, the portable ampoule for dispensing fluid may include a body configured to contain cleansing solution. A neck may be coupled to the body and configured to control the flow of the solution. A tip may be coupled to the neck and have an aperture for solution release. A sealing device may be coupled to the tip and configured to seal the aperture. The sealing device may permanently unseal the aperture upon decoupling from the tip.
