Insect Bait Station And Reservoir

Insect Bait Station And Reservoir

US Patent:
6370813, Apr 16, 2002
Filed:
Jan 31, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/495069
Inventors:
Thomas D. Nelson - Maplewood MN
Keith D. Johnson - Woodbury MN
Assignee:
Ecolab Inc. - St. Paul MN
International Classification:
A01M 120
US Classification:
43131, 43121
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bait station comprising a base, a reservoir, a cover, and a latch. The base may be used in two different orientations and includes a first section and a second section. The first section has climbing assisting members and a cavity with a reservoir receiving area, and the second section has side climbing assisting members. The climbing assisting members and side climbing assisting members of the base provide a textured surface that enables insects to crawl into and out of the bait station more easily. The reservoir contains poisonous bait and may be placed in two different positions within the reservoir receiving area to accommodate the two different orientations in which the base may be used. The reservoir includes tapered sides with climbing assisting members. The climbing assisting members provide a textured surface that enables insects to crawl into and out of the reservoir more easily.

Closed Package Liquid Dispensing System

Closed Package Liquid Dispensing System

US Patent:
6158486, Dec 12, 2000
Filed:
Nov 19, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/196265
Inventors:
Scott R. Olson - Mahtomedi MN
Keith D. Johnson - Woodbury MN
Lynne A. Olson - Ellsworth WI
Assignee:
Ecolab Inc. - St. Paul MN
International Classification:
B67D 100
US Classification:
141351
Abstract:
A liquid dispensing apparatus (10) includes a container (70) for holding a liquid product to be dispensed. A docking station (20) receives the container (70). A reservoir tank (50) is positioned in the docking station (20) for receiving the liquid to be dispensed. A docking cup is connected to the docking station for opening a bottle insert (90) which is contained in the container (70). By use of the present invention, contact with the product to be dispensed is reduced as is chemical odor. The lockout feature prevents the wrong product from being dispensed. The product, independent of the viscosity, may be completely emptied from the package.

Implantable Medical Device With Two Or More Telemetry Systems

Implantable Medical Device With Two Or More Telemetry Systems

US Patent:
7729776, Jun 1, 2010
Filed:
Dec 19, 2001
Appl. No.:
10/025183
Inventors:
Jeffrey A. Von Arx - Minneapolis MN, US
Keith Johnson - Shoreview MN, US
Scott T. Mazar - Inver Grove Heights MN, US
William J. Linder - Golden Valley MN, US
Assignee:
Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. - St. Paul MN
International Classification:
A61N 1/00
US Classification:
607 60
Abstract:
A telemetry system enabling radio frequency (RF) communications between an implantable medical device and an external device, or programmer, in which the RF circuitry is normally maintained in a powered down state in order to conserve power. At synchronized wakeup intervals, one of the devices designated as a master device powers up its RF transmitter to request a communications session, and the other device designated as a slave device powers up its RF transmitter to listen for the request. Telemetry is conducted using a far field or near field communication link.

Assignee:
Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. - St. Paul MN
International Classification:
A61N 1/00
US Classification:
607 60
Abstract:
An implantable medical device comprises a near field telemetry module to wirelessly receive first information into the IMD, a far field telemetry module to wirelessly receive second information into the IMD, and a processor in electrical communication with the near field telemetry module and the far field telemetry module. The processor is configured to establish, in relation to a communication signal received by the near field telemetry module, a time period during which communication via the far field telemetry module is available, and operate the IMD according to the received second information upon receiving third information via the near field telemetry link.
