I enjoying knowing them as individuals, and like to encourage them to be active participants in their own healthcare whenever possible. I like to have them (not their parents) tell me about their symptoms or problems first, and also provide feedback on the treatment plan, even if it simply means giving them an option of what flavor of medication they prefer! I encourage questions, and answer them honestly.
