I treat the person and the issues with a holistic philosophy, meaning that I look at the many layers and experiences of a person's life while focusing on growing through the challenges that bring one into therapy. I look into past experiences and influences, present roles and challenges, and future goals and purpose to bring greater awareness, meaning, and personal growth. A person is always experiencing things through different dimensions of the self (spiritual, physical, emotional, mental, relational, sexual, vocational, familial, social) and the various identities related to gender, culture, and history that make one unique.
Therapy should be a place for clients to to feel safe, heard, understood, challenged, and guided toward growth and achieving a life of great potential, meaning, clarity and peace.
