Philosophy:
I have been volunteering with Popes Kids Place, a respite center for children suffering from Shaken Baby Syndrome, Spina Biffida, Cerebral Palsey, Seizures etc, for close to two years now. When asked why I went the direction I did with my practice, I had to admit that working with children who were never given a chance at life has changed the entire direction of my career. They inspired me to learn everything I could to give them the best quality of life. I am determined to dedicate my entire practice to the medically fragile. I just to obtained an international certification for Pediatric Therapeutic Massage, for the children with special needs, and Touch Therapy for children with Autism. I am traveling to Springfield, Missouri in mid November for an intensive course to receive my certification for Compassionate Touch, which is hospice massage. It is clear to me that the medically fragile of our community are in need of quality, therapeutic touch, regardless of their age.
