Philosophy:
We believe the doctor is only an assistant on the patient's journey to physical and emotional health. The patient has the ultimate responsibility over his or her own health. As you primary care physician, we will do everything in our control to help you attain the quailty and quantity of life you desire. For instance, we will advise a patient not to smoke, but if his or her desire is to enjoy smoking and live a few years shorter, we will understand and not be a constant nag. Likewise, we will not necessarily advise advanced-age patients to abide by a strict and undesireable diet if it takes the fun out of life. We believe a patient's quality of life is just an important as longevity and that is the patient's choice and responsibility to decide the importance of each.
