Born and raised in Hartville, Ohio, a small farming community a few miles outside of Akron, the "Rubber City," I first came to western Massachusetts in the spring of 2009. Growing up the son of a schoolteacher and a U.S. Navy officer, a strong sense of responsibility to my community and fellow man was instilled in me at a very early age.<br />My wonderful wife Lisa and I moved to the Pioneer Valley at the tail end of the summer of 2012. She grew up in Hadley, and had always wanted to return to where she spent much of her childhood. She had brought me here on many previous occasions, so when she asked if we could move, I jumped at the chance. I've lived many places: Illinois, Mississippi, California, Ohio, but I've never been anywhere else in the world that I'd rather call home than the Pioneer Valley.
