Colliers International’s Retail Services Group was retained by the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA), the state authority responsible for the operations of the Hynes Convention Center, to conduct a study for the potential of adding a restaurant component to the Hynes as part of a large-scale renovation project developed to transform the center into a European-style congressional hall, complete with state-of- the-art technology and amenities. Colliers was able to secure two, high-end restaurants as “bookends” to the Hynes, totaling 26,000 square feet.
Towne Stove & Spirits is a 14,000-square-foot, two-level restaurant from the Lyons Group, in conjunction with celebrity chefs Lydia Shire and Jasper White. The Capital Grille also opened a 12,000-square-foot, flagship restaurant that is more than double the seating capacity of their previous location on Newbury Street.

Colliers Meredith & Grew was hired by Citibank to locate, negotiate, and open thirty one (31) retail bank branches throughout Greater Boston by year end 2007. The Colliers Meredith & Grew Retail Team and Citibank were under immense pressure to perform after the former Citigroup Chairman, Chuck Prince, was quoted in an October 2006 Business Week article “Boston or Bust” that he would have 30 locations open prior to year end 2007. The first five opened in the 4th quarter of 2006 and the next 25 opened throughout 2007. The branches averaged 5,000 sf and ten year terms in prime retail locations within Boston and the suburbs. The Retail Group was involved in all aspects of the expansion, site selection, lease proposal, lease negotiating, permitting, and solving any building issues that may have risen.
In the end, Citibank opened thirty one quality retail locations that exceeded their original projections and that are significantly out performing every other region in the country that they have entered in the past five years.
