Studying and cultivating native trees of the Northeast, biking through and photographing the Delaware River Valley, playing my Gibson SG guitar plugged into my Fender amp, and attempting to play my second hand banjo.

The praise of the citizen on the street - or the enthusiasm of a satisfied client - is of equal or greater worth to me than the praise of a jury of one's professional peers. But having been invited to lecture and critique at institutions of higher learning and to serve on a local commission or committee - this too has brought enjoyment each and every time. Good write-ups in local newspapers are also gratifying.
