6360885, Mar 26, 2002
Filed:
Mar 17, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/527684
Inventors:
John A. Krueger - Milwaukee WI
Ronald A. Perez - Shorewood WI
Assignee:
Sparks International, Inc. - Brookfield WI
International Classification:
A45C 1120
US Classification:
206217, 206549, 206564, 220 2383, 220575
Abstract:
A mobile-dining mealholder including a plate-lid and detachable beverage cup, the cup having a lip with an annular bead thereabout projecting radially to form a lower surface and the plate-lid including (a) a lid portion overlying the lip and terminating in a downward skirt having an inner surface with a necked-in portion around the skirt engaging the bead to provide snap-fit sealing, and (b) a tray portion having food-holding areas spaced about the lid portion, the cup, plate-lid, bead and skirt being configured and arranged to sealing engagement despite food-loading and usage forces. Food-receiving depressed regions have vertically-extending portions positioned and arranged tranversely with respect to pivot lines on the tray portion in order to avoid excessive flexing under food and dining loads.

Biopsy Device Handle Assembly

US Patent:
2004007, Apr 22, 2004
Filed:
Oct 22, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/277313
Inventors:
Gregory Groenke - Gurnee IL, US
John Krueger - Milwaukee WI, US
International Classification:
A61B010/00
US Classification:
600/567000
Abstract:
The invention described herein relates to a handle assembly for biopsy devices, such as bone biopsy core sampling devices and bone marrow aspiration devices, which comprise an outer cannula and stylet component structure. The handle assembly permits securing and removal of the inner stylet from the inside of the outer cannula by virtue of separating top and bottom portions of the handle, and at the same time enhances the comfort and maneuverability of the entire device during its use. In particular, the invention provides a biopsy device comprising a handle assembly, said handle assembly comprising at least two separable handle components together forming a generally elongated arcuate handle. The assembled handle comprises a generally elongate arcuate handle wherein the outward curve is at the top portion and the inward curve is at the bottom portion. The handle assembly comprises four concave arcuate indentations located on the side of the handle and defining corresponding arcuate regions of the outer perimeter of the top portion upper and lower surfaces and the bottom portion upper and lower surfaces. The exterior surface of the handle assembly is smooth and rounded for ergonomic comfort.

Mobile-Dining Meal Holder With Beverage Container

US Patent:
2004008, May 6, 2004
Filed:
Nov 1, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/285725
Inventors:
John Krueger - Milwaukee WI, US
Ronald Perez - Saint Cloud WI, US
International Classification:
A47G019/00, A47G021/00, A47G023/00
US Classification:
220/574000
Abstract:
A mobile-dining meal holder including a plate and detachable beverage cup, the cup having a lip with an annular ring thereabout projecting radially to form an interfacing surface and the plate including (a) a lid portion pressing against the interfacing surface and terminating in a downward skirt having an inner taper that engages against the same taper of the beverage container, and (b) a tray portion having food-holding areas spaced about the lid portion, the cup, plate, bead and skirt being configured and arranged to engage despite food-loading and usage forces. Food-receiving depressed regions have vertically extending portions positioned and arranged transversely with respect to pivot lines on the tray portion in order to avoid excessive flexing under food and dining loads. The beverage container acts as the pillar of support for the mobile dining meal holder. This arrangement allows the mobile-dining meal holder to disengage from the bottom of the cup. In the preferred embodiment, the beverage container has a step that locates the vertical position of the mobile-dining meal holder with respect to the beverage container.

Foil Dispensing Tray

US Patent:
2004016, Sep 2, 2004
Filed:
Feb 28, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/376446
Inventors:
John Ignoffo - Lakemoor IL, US
John Krueger - Milwaukee WI, US
International Classification:
B42F001/00
US Classification:
211/051000
Abstract:
A dispenser for holding and dispensing individual foil sheets from a stack of foils. Because of the delicate nature of foil, the dispenser has a number of unique requirements to preserve the ability to dispense a single foil sheet. A top plate adds minimal weight to the stack of the foils in order to assist maintaining the stack of foils as one foil is removed. The dispenser protects the edges of the foils to minimize any damage or bending of the edges or corners of the foils to enhance the removal of individual sheets from the stack. A suction cup attached to the bottom of the dispenser minimizes movement of the dispenser with reference to the location of the dispenser. The dispenser has a bottom and end panel bent to angles which promote single dispensing of the top foil sheet. The foil is colored on one side so the cosmetologist may color coordinate different color concentrations to different areas of the customer's hair during a hair highlighting procedure. There are typically two accepted foil sizes to perform hair-highlighting procedures on all lengths of hair. The dispenser is specifically sized for the required foil being dispensed therein. This invention further discloses a double-decked foil dispenser that allows both sizes to be dispensed from the same tray.

Hanging Condiment Holder

US Patent:
2004003, Feb 19, 2004
Filed:
Aug 13, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/217591
Inventors:
John Krueger - Milwaukee WI, US
Ronald Perez - Saint Cloud WI, US
International Classification:
A47G019/00, B65D021/02
US Classification:
220/023400, 220/023860
Abstract:
A packaging cup of the type typically utilized to contain a small volume of a condiment or sauce and formed of a resilient material. This cup has a reservoir and a flange which surrounds the reservoir with a lid sealed to the flange. The packaging cup is improved by including support segment cut into the flange of the packaging cup that engages with a corresponding slot cut into a vertical surface of a foodstuff container. A keyed geometry at the base of each side of the food container provides restriction to removing the packaging cup. This type of serving arrangement is illustrated for condiments such as ketchup for French fries, syrup for French toast sticks and barbeque sauce for chicken strips. Even though the packaging cup may have a pre-determined amount of condiment sealed within the reservoir, the consumer at the location where the packaging arrangement is used may also fill the packaging cup. The foodstuff container may be used with or without the packaging cup. The packaging cup may be accessed without mating with the foodstuff container.
