Clinical experience:<br/>-Pre-operative inpatient and outpatient surgical evaluation including cardiac valvular disease, coronary artery disease, aortic aneurysms, VAD and transplant candidates. <br/>-Responsible for ordering and interpreting appropriate pre-operative imaging and laboratory testing.<br/>-Communicate relevant information to attending and fellow surgeons and help formulate plans.<br/>-Responsible for outpatient post-operative assessments and follow up care.<br/>-Provide education to patient and families.<br/><br/>OR procedure/skills experience:<br/>-Proficient with endoscopic and open vein harvesting.<br/>-First and second assist skills in various cardiac cases including open, minimally invasive and transcatheter aortic valve replacements, open and minimally invasive mitral valve repair/replacements, coronary artery bypass grafting, VAD placement, heart transplants and ascending aortic aneurysm repairs. Vascular experience includes assisting with femoropopliteal bypasses and carotid endarterectomies.<br/>-Femoral and radial arterial line placement.<br/>-Foley catheter placement.<br/>-Surgical prepping, positioning, and sterile draping techniques.
