Philosophy:
The practice of nephrology stems from my inherent interest in human disease from an internistâÂÂs perspective while focusing specifically on kidney disease in patients with coexistent systemic illnesses. My main area of interest in the practice of nephrology is caring for patients with chronic kidney disease and managing the metabolic changes and endocrinopathology that occurs with loss of kidney function over time; working with patients and their families to assist in the preservation of their kidneys as long as possible, but to also thoroughly prepare them physically and spiritually for renal replacement therapy if warranted.
