Air Charger For Internal Combustion Engines

US Patent:
4453524, Jun 12, 1984
Filed:
Oct 21, 1982
Appl. No.:
6/435703
Inventors:
John K. Lee - Potomac MD
International Classification:
F02M 3100
US Classification:
123556
Abstract:
An air charging system for an internal combustion engine is disclosed which includes an electric motor driven blower mounted on the air cleaner housing located at the air intake of either a carbureted or fuel injected engine. The blower forces either heated air during startup or unheated air during actual running to the engine to thereby boost the output power and reduce harmful emissions. The speed of the blower can be either manually controlled or controlled in conjunction with actuation of the engine's throttle.

7/182202
Inventors:
John K. Lee - Potomac MD
International Classification:
F02P 700
US Classification:
123637
Abstract:
A dual ignition system is disclosed wherein adjacent first and second current interrupter means are provided for each cylinder on the ignition timing means for an internal combustion engine to furnish successive sparks during the power stroke by means of first and second distributor rotor arms which are secured in a fixed angular relationship to each other and which rotate in synchronism with the timing means to thereby more completely ignite the combustibles in said cylinder.

Master Cylinder Internal Combustion Engine

US Patent:
4411230, Oct 25, 1983
Filed:
Jun 17, 1981
Appl. No.:
6/274392
Inventors:
John K. Lee - Potomac MD
International Classification:
F02D 1702
US Classification:
123198F
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine and control system therefor are disclosed of either the gasoline or diesel type having an odd number of cylinders one of which is a master cylinder with a displacement larger than the remaining cylinders. The master cylinder's function is to operate the engine's auxiliary equipment during idle to conserve fuel and assist the other cylinders during heavy load conditions but be cut off from operation when the load is light.
