Medical Container Loading System And Method For Use With Fluid Containers, Syringes And Medical Injectors

Medical Container Loading System And Method For Use With Fluid Containers, Syringes And Medical Injectors

US Patent:
7240882, Jul 10, 2007
Filed:
Nov 20, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/718260
Inventors:
Drew Degentesh - Pittsburgh PA, US
Matthew Beale - Pittsburgh PA, US
John Crowley - Pittsburgh PA, US
Matthew Goodworth - Pittsburgh PA, US
David M. Reilly - Glenshaw PA, US
Mark Trocki - Cheswick PA, US
Assignee:
Medrad, Inc. - Indianola PA
International Classification:
A47F 5/08
US Classification:
24823191, 2483091, 604151
Abstract:
A medical container loading system includes a medical container loading device and a fill station. The fill station is located proximate to the medical container loading device and includes a mounting plate and a holding assembly. The holding assembly is connected to the mounting plate for supporting a medical fluid container adapted for fluid communication with a medical container, such as a syringe, used in the medical container loading device. The holding assembly may include a fixed support and a movable support, which maintain the medical fluid container in the holding assembly. The fixed support may be funnel-shaped with a smooth or stepped inner wall. The fixed support may also be rectangular shaped and have an inclined inner wall or support for supporting the body of the medical fluid container. The movable support may be a resiliently biased support arm or an adjustable strap.

Modular Portable Writing And Projection System Having Variable Curvature

Modular Portable Writing And Projection System Having Variable Curvature

US Patent:
2011004, Feb 24, 2011
Filed:
Aug 20, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/860037
Inventors:
Michael McManus - Oakdale PA, US
Stephen Spencer - Pittsburgh PA, US
Donald MacDonald - Pittsburgh PA, US
John Crowley - Pittsburgh PA, US
Joseph Ballay - Pittsburgh PA, US
International Classification:
B43L 1/00
US Classification:
434408
Abstract:
A modular, portable writing and projection system having a variable curvature is disclosed. The system uses dry erase boards, chalk or black boards, or other flexible panels having at least one writing surface. The panels have edges for joining to posts. The system combines panels to form a large, modular system for use at meetings, gatherings or other assemblies. The system allows a large number of users to contribute to a presentation, and also allows users to view the presentation. Because the panels are flexible, the system may be curved, allowing more panels to be mounted, used, written on and viewed, within limited space. The panels may be used in either a convex or concave manner, i.e., curved in or curved out, as desired. The resistance of the panels to remaining in a curved state is overcome by feet on the posts and braking or holding devices on the feet.

Lock Device And System Employing A Door Lock Device

Lock Device And System Employing A Door Lock Device

US Patent:
2007005, Mar 15, 2007
Filed:
Sep 13, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/225332
Inventors:
Russ Sabo - Sewickley PA, US
John Crowley - Pittsburgh PA, US
International Classification:
E05B 47/06
US Classification:
070257000, 070279100
Abstract:
A door lock device includes a lock having a deadbolt with a first end and a second end. The second end is structured to disengage from an object, such as a portion of a door frame, in a first position and to engage the object in a second position. A spring directly engages and biases the first end of the deadbolt toward the second position thereof. A solenoid includes a plunger structured to engage the deadbolt, in order to hold the deadbolt in the first position thereof. A sensor is structured to sense at least one of the first and second positions of the deadbolt. A wireless controller is structured to receive a wireless signal and responsively energize the solenoid, in order to disengage the plunger of the solenoid from the deadbolt and release the deadbolt to the second position thereof.
