Interests:
Integrative Medicine in clinical practice, teaching and writing. I am trained in Medical Acupuncture through the Helms Institute/UCLA Medical Acupuncture Training Course. I have completed advanced training in Integrative/Functional Medicine and am now applying my knowledge to help manange cancer patients. Areas of interest include primary and secondary cancer prevention, the mind-body-spirit connection and exploring healthy longevity through dietary and lifestyle modification. I am particularly interested in Heart Rate Variability and health and novel naturally occuring food-based radiation protectors/sensitizers, treating chemotherapy-induced neuropathy with percutaneous auricular electroneurostimulation, and reducing cancer risk with natural plant-based therapies.
