Wyeth Emerging Leader Award
American Osteopathic Foundation
The Wyeth Emerging Leader Award was established to recognize and honor osteopathic physicians who exhibit exemplary characteristics of emerging leaders within the profession. Only two people are chosen each year for the award.
GlaxoSmithKline Emerging Leader Award
American Medical Association
The program was open to 50 emerging physician leaders on an invitation-only basis. Participants in the program were selected for their demonstrated leadership potential, commitment to leadership development, participation in organized medicine, and diversity of leadership experience.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Outstanding Resident Award
American Osteopathic Foundation
The award was established in 1997 to recognize exemplary osteopathic physicians in their second or third year of a primary care residency in family practice, internal medicine or pediatrics. To be eligible for the award, a physician must first be nominated by their residency director, then submit application materials and letters of recommendation. Applicants are evaluated on their commitment to patient care, community service, leadership and the osteopathic philosophy, among other things.
