Philosophy:
My patients deserve optimal care. In order to deliver, I earn my patients' trust, confidence, and respect. My treatment approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral, combined with insight-oriented techniques. There is nothing cookie-cutter about my therapeutic style. I genuinely understand that each person's psychological disorder is anatomically different. As a result, I devise eclectic treatment plans customized to suit a person's overall uniqueness, and that person's subjective experience of presenting symptoms. I see significant value in using treatment strategies proven to be effective; however, I believe that such methods need to be tailored to meet an individual's specific goals. A universal aspect of the care I provide is that the ultimate goal is recovery. My view of recovery includes: freedom from negative/distorted thinking; abstinence from destructive behaviors; satisfying relationships; self-love; and, personal fulfillment! I don't think that's asking for too much :)
