Abstract:
Methods for making frames for screen assemblies for vibratory separators, and screen assemblies with such frames, the methods, in certain aspects, including making a frame support for a screen assembly for a vibratory separator (e.g. but not limited to with robotic welding apparatus), moving the frame support to cleaning apparatus to clean the frame support, heating the frame support, moving the heated frame support to coating apparatus, coating the frame support in the coating apparatus with protective material, allowing the coated frame support to cool so that the protective material sets, moving of the frame support in one aspect done by mechanical movement apparatus; and, in certain aspects, adding screening material to the frame to produce a screen assembly.

A screen assembly, a vibratory separator with such a screen assembly and methods of its use, the screen assembly, in certain aspects, having a frame with a first frame end spaced apart from a second frame end by two opposed spaced-apart sides including a first side and a second side, screening material on the frame, a plurality of crossmembers spaced apart and extending from the first side to the second side, each crossmember of the plurality of crossmembers connected to the first side and the second side, and each crossmember of the plurality of crossmembers having at least one series of openings therethrough; in one particular aspect the frame having crossmembers located to facilitate sealing of the support against screen assembly mounting structure of a vibratory separator; and methods for using such frames and such screen assemblies.

A screen assembly for mounting on mounting structure of a vibratory separator, the mounting structure having at least one support part, and methods of its use, the screen assembly including a frame with a first frame end, a second frame end and a first side and a second side, at least one crossmember, extending from the first frame end to the second frame end, and spaced-apart from the sides, the frame having a top and a bottom, the at least one crossmember having a top and a bottom positionable above and adjacent a support part of the mounting structure, screening material on the frame, and space maintenance apparatus on the bottom of the at least one crossmember for occupying a space between the crossmember and the support part.
