Interests:
I am interested in teaching entrepreneurship to underserved youth. I am a mentor for a program called Teens 4 Good that is a part of the Federation for Neighborhood Centers. The program builds long-term, working relationships with promising students attending Philadelphia’s inner city public high schools. The program teaches students character, leadership, teamwork, life skills, one-on-one mentoring, career exploration, cultural opportunities, and hands-on entrepreneurial activities through a teen-run urban farm, nutrition and health business. In 2007, Teens 4 Good participated in a service project rebuilding homes in New Orleans. In 2011, the program is expanding to 8 new locations across the Philadelphia region. The program has been featured in several newspapers across the country and on ABC, NBC and Fox TV.
