My goal is to help clients find relief from suffering and to meet their personal goals by providing respectful and compassionate therapy using the most effective approaches possible. I emphasize a values based approach to behavior change. Each client learns a variety of mindfulness based practices customized to his or her individual situation, and how to apply them in difficult situations. Therapy focuses on learning the skills needed to actualize important values and pursue chosen goals. Clients learn how to step out of and stay out of old, well practiced patterns of negative thinking and behavior.
