US Patent:
2006028, Dec 28, 2006
Filed:
Nov 2, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/265836
Inventors:
Jeffrey Herold - Huntington Beach CA, US
Assignee:
West Coast Trends, Inc. - Huntington Beach CA
International Classification:
A45F 3/04
US Classification:
224627000, 224649000
Abstract:
A dual strap system comprises two straps arranged to cooperate with the human form in a manner whereby a heavy side load is easily and comfortably supported. One strap has a conventionally shaped pad while the other has a specially shaped pad configured with a view to the forces which are applied to it and in further view of the angle in which rests upon a shoulder. Together, these straps are affixed at a joint to form an apparatus which may be worn over both shoulders. Length adjustability is effected in view of the unique arrangement by way of four specially placed adjustment buckles. Flip-Up Eyewear

US Patent:
7018035, Mar 28, 2006
Filed:
Oct 16, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/690360
Inventors:
Jeffrey C. Herold - Huntington Beach CA, US
Hiroyuki Sasaki - Sabae, JP
Assignee:
West Coast Trends, Inc. - Huntington Beach CA
International Classification:
G02C 1/00
US Classification:
351 60, 351 47, 351 48, 351103
Abstract:
Eyewear characterized as flip-up sunglasses include a combination of a spring loaded hinge and a magnetic seat. The spring loaded hinge relieves a user the task of properly placing a flip-up portion in a holding mechanism. In combination with the spring, the magnetic seat allows the flip-up lenses to be held against the spring force and provides a simple release action which may be quickly accomplished by merely breaking a magnetic contact bond. As such, the action of flipping up and flipping down a sunglasses lens or lenses becomes comfortable and simple. The glasses are particularly useful for users who frequently switch between looking into shadows and lighted areas which would otherwise require removing sunglasses and replacing them.
