Philosophy:
People usually seek counseling or psychotherapy because they are suffering and want to alleviate their suffering. Throughout the last 21 years of practicing psychotherapy, I find that helping people to recognize and change patterns of behaviors (which includes thoughts, feelings, and actions) can alleviate much suffering. Awareness of patterns can result in more effective, informed choices. In my practice, I encourage compassionate awareness and intentional living.
