Dual Telescoping Support Member Digital Radiography Imaging System

US Patent:
2007014, Jun 21, 2007
Filed:
May 23, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/438981
Inventors:
Ronald Perry - Webster NY, US
James Sekol - Rochester NY, US
International Classification:
H05G 1/02
US Classification:
378197000
Abstract:
A digital radiography system, having an X-ray source and an X-ray imaging detector, for capturing an image of a subject. The system has a moveable base that is translatable along two separate directions to a location selected by an operator. The system has a first rotatable telescoping support member coupled to the moveable base, the X-ray source being rotatably coupled to the first rotatable telescopic support member, and being adapted to translate and rotate to locate the X-ray source in a position selected by the operator. The system further has a second rotatable telescoping support member coupled to the moveable base, the X-ray imaging detector being rotatably coupled to the second rotatable telescoping support member, and being adapted to translate with the moveable base and rotate to locate the X-ray imaging detector in a position selected by the operator.

Rotatable Bucky With Detent

US Patent:
6997608, Feb 14, 2006
Filed:
Sep 16, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/942188
Inventors:
Eugene Sisto - Rochester NY, US
Friedrich Ueffinger - Rochester NY, US
James W. Sekol - Rochester NY, US
Assignee:
Eastman Kodak Company - Rochester NY
International Classification:
H01J 31/50
US Classification:
378189, 378167
Abstract:
An apparatus for rotating a bucky about an axis between a first and second position. The apparatus includes a base member stationarily disposed on the bucky and having a first and second rotational position; a first and second absorption member; and a first and second assembly. The first assembly is disposed at the first position and is slidably mounted relative to the base member. It includes a first detent adapted to receive a roller when the bucky is in the first position. The first assembly is disposed intermediate the first absorption member and base member such that the first absorption member biases the first assembly toward the base member. The second assembly is disposed at the second position and is slidably mounted relative to the base member. It includes a second detent adapted to receive a roller when the bucky is in the second position. The second assembly is disposed intermediate the second absorption member and base member such that the second absorption member biases the second assembly toward the base member.

Ted G. Young - Rochester NY, US
Assignee:
Eastman Kodak Company - Rochester NY
International Classification:
G03B 42/02
US Classification:
378181, 378167
Abstract:
A digital radiography apparatus. The apparatus includes a support member having a first axis; a bucky; and a mounting member attached to the support member and supporting the bucky. The mounting members is adapted to move the bucky substantially along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis between a retracted position wherein the bucky is disposed proximate the support member to an extended position wherein the bucky is not disposed proximate the support member.

Protective Enclosure Including A Pry Resistant Door

US Patent:
2013001, Jan 17, 2013
Filed:
Jan 17, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/351548
Inventors:
James W. Sekol - Rochester NY, US
Douglas E. Shaffer - Victor NY, US
International Classification:
A47B 81/00, E05B 65/06, E05B 65/52
US Classification:
312218, 312329
Abstract:
A protective enclosure including a housing defining a door opening is provided. A first flange extends from an opening end of a door and is angled relative to a surface of said door inwardly toward an interior storage space of the enclosure. The first flange and the door surface form an obtuse angle. A second flange extends from a hinge end of the door and is angled relative to the door surface inwardly toward the interior storage space. The second flange and the door surface form an obtuse angle. A hinge pivotally mounts the door with the housing. A locking mechanism selectively locks the door to the housing. The housing includes a channel disposed along at least a portion of the door opening. At least a portion of the first and second flanges are disposed within the channel when the door is closed to resist pry attacks.
