I try to understand the issues that are shared and join with a person to sort out the problems they are experiencing. I like to keep the person in control of the therapy and share with the person the possible approaches that I might see while giving them choices. I like to work with the person as a resource or consultant as they overcome the concerns. Many times people have made understandable adjustments to difficult situations and then the situations change and those old ways get in the way
