Abstract:
A headband for reversible mounting of headsets, wherein the headset can be used on either side of the wearers head. The headband may include two adjustably connected portions, for adapting to the wearers head. On one side, the headband has a fitting for a headset. The fitting may include a plurality of tabs surrounding a substantially circular cavity. The headset may be mounted to the headband by fitting at least a part of the headset inside the cavity, wherein the headset is held in place by the tabs. The tabs may be arranged to allow the headset to extend therebetween, and they may allow the headset to be adjusted as desired by the wearer.

Abstract:
An adjustable headset headband including a resilient band of a shape and size to fit over the head of a wearer. The band has a first end and a second end and a positioning member fixedly attached adjacent the first end. The headband also includes a housing having a first end and a second end. The positioning member is movably mounted within the housing such that the second end of the housing is oriented nearest the second end of the band. The housing includes a plurality of depressions linearly arranged within the housing from the first end of the housing to the second end of the housing, each depression of the plurality of depressions having a shallower depth than the preceeding depression. The positioning member releasably engages one of the plurality of depressions so as to maintain the positioning member at a predetermined portion within the housing.

Abstract:
An interface assembly for providing an electrical and mechanical interface between a headset and a headset amplifier, includes a transmit signal path for receiving a signal from the headset microphone and for providing an output signal having electrical characteristics compatible with the headset amplifier. The interface assembly also includes a receive signal path for receiving a signal from the headset amplifier and for providing a signal having electrical characteristics compatible with the headset coupled thereto. Compatibility from headset to headset amplifier may be achieved by adjusting one or more characteristics including but not limited to the frequency response, input/output impedance matching, level adjustment and RFI suppression. Compatibility from headset amplifier to headset may be achieved by adjusting one or more characteristics including but not limited to sound pressure protection, frequency response shaping, input/output impedance matching, level adjustment, ground isolation and RFI suppression.
