Abstract:
A product marketing booklet that enables a company or a designated representative to communicate with other persons involved in the distribution and/or use of products, including the physician, the patient and the pharmacist. The marketing booklet includes a first multi-panel unit having panels movable relative to each other between an opened condition in which the panels are spaced transversely from each other and a folded, collapsed condition in which the panels overlie each other. A second multi-panel unit includes panels movable relative to each other between an opened condition in which the panels are spaced transversely from each other and a folded, collapsed position in which the panels overlie each other. Attachment means are provided for removably securing the first and second units to each other with the second unit overlying at least a portion of the first unit in a position for permitting the panels of both the first and second units to be maintained either in the opened condition or in the folded, collapsed condition to form a multi-panel booklet. The marketing device comprises multiple, separable segments. These segments can include a product information segment to be affixed to a patient's chart; a disease state management segment to be affixed to a patient's chart; a mailer segment to be returned to the manufacturer of a product or to the manufacturer's representative including patient-related information and, if desired, instructions to the pharmacist to dispense, without charge to the recipient, a specified quantity of a medical product; a pharmacist receipt segment to be signed by the recipient of the free product; a bank check segment made payable to an endorsing pharmacist; a pair of prescription segments; a product sample segment and a patient-education segment for providing information to the patient regarding the disease being treated and/or the prescribed product.

The marketing device comprises a unitary member with separable sections which include a free sample to the patient, a peel-off label containing information about the drug to be affixed to the patient's chart, and forms filled out by the physician and the pharmacist with of a mailer, which is returned to the pharmaceutical company or its representatives. Additionally, the patient upon visiting the pharmacist is given a free amount of the drug by the pharmacist, for which the pharmacist is reimbursed by the pharmaceutical company.

Sampling device for marketing a drug by a pharmaceutical company includes multiple segments.
