Dr. DeLaRosa is a Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon and Chief of cardiothoracic and endovascular surgical services at Idaho State University, Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Dr. DeLaRosa is a dynamic teacher, role model, and a leader in medicine. Dr. DeLaRosa has made significant contributions to the field of cardiothoracic surgery thus far with national and international presentations, dozens of publications, and contributions to several textbooks in the field of lung disorders, cardiovascular disease, approaches to the thoracic spine, and endovascular surgery. Dr. DeLaRosa is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. DeLaRosa has attained numerous achievements, awards, and honors such as the California Medical Association Leadership Award, Winner of the Best Drawing Board Invention at the 7th annual New Era Cardiac Care Conference, voted as the San Diego Metropolitan 40 under 40 Best & Brightest. Dr. DeLaRosa serves on several boards and committees most notably the Risk Advisory committee for the FDA. Dr. DeLaRosa specializes in open-heart surgery, and endovascular surgery and management.
