I am committed to giving each patient the maximum chance for cure from cancer. This requires good evaluation which includes review of all the pertinent records and images such as the pathology and scans as well as a good clinical physical exam. This forms the basis for making the recommendation that is best for the individual. If that includes radiation, then detailed treatment planning using advanced techniques such as IMRT and IGRT or radiosurgery when appropriate for the individual, gives the best chance of achieving cure while minimizing the normal tissue side effects. I believe in thorough evaluation, detailed discussion with the patient and family then precision treatment when indicated. When treatment is completed, the same attention is required for good follow-up to help assure the best outcome. All this must be in a supportive, respectful and caring environment to encourage the patient along the way. New fashion technology given with old fashion care and courtesy.
