While working on his degree from the University of Iowa in 1988, Ian Palast found a passion for real estate when he purchased his first home. Since then, Ian has purchased numerous properties for their income production, as well as those that were renovated and flipped in Illinois, Iowa, California, Texas and Nevada. <br />Adding to his business background, Ian owned and operated a successful restaurant, was sales manager and liaison between outside sales, technical support and customer service teams for an online data exchange network, and spent several years in the mortgage business as a loan officer.<br />In 2006, Ian decided to take his business acumen to the next level and pursue a full-time career in real estate sales and investments. Extensive research of both local and franchise real estate companies lead Ian to join Keller Williams Realty, currently the second largest real estate franchise in the U.S., where his entrepreneurial and philanthropic goals coincided perfectly with Keller Williams Realty belief system and culture.<br />Keller Williams is a learning-based company, encouraging education, which Ian has embraced receiving designations as an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) and Seller Representative Specialist (SRS). <br />Ian specializes in helping distressed homeowners through the short sale process, which can be complex. Homeowners that are ‘upside down’ need the high level of experience offered by Ian to complete a successful short sale. <br />Ian also focuses on investors interested in short and long-term property purchases to accomplish their investment goals.<br />Ian’s background in sales, investing, property management, contract and short sale negotiations combine to provide the expertise needed to achieve the desired results in the Las Vegas real estate market for all his clients.
