Winner of the Nashville Engineer of the Year Award, seven IEEE prize paper awards, the IEEE Centennial Medal, the IEEE Standards Medallion, and the NFPA Committee Service Award. Fellow in both the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEEE) and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). More important of course (I'm almost 69). Won two Georgia High School State Championships and the Savannah Junior Championship in Tennis. Also finished second in the 100-yard butterfly at the SEC Swimming Championship. After all, if you can swim the 100 and 200 yard butterfly, you can do most anything.
