Philosophy:
My primary concern is accurate diagnosis, so that all of the appropriate options for treament can be explored. Some diagnosis lead to surgical options, many of which I now do microscopically, especially in the shoulder and knee. Some lead to nonsurgical treatments or treatments in other specialties. My goal is to provide the best possible care regardless of the chosen method of treatment.
Of special interest to me are the many new procedures available for shoulder pain and instability. The extensive use of arthroscopic surgery in the shoulder has revolutionized modern treatment of shoulder problems. Many areas that were poorly understood, and virtually untreatable, only 10 years ago can now be fixed microscopically.
