Motion Correction In Accelerated T1-Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging

US Patent:
2012026, Oct 18, 2012
Filed:
Apr 18, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/450177
Inventors:
James Hartman Holmes - Cambridge WI, US
Jean Helen Brittain - Middleton WI, US
Reed Frederick Busse - Waukesha WI, US
Ajeetkumar Gaddipati - Waukesha WI, US
Xiaoli Zhao - New Berlin WI, US
Philip James Beatty - Toronto, CA

Howard Andrew Rowley - Madison WI, US
Assignee:
GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY - Schenectady NY
International Classification:
G01R 33/48
US Classification:
324309
Abstract:
A method includes the acts of acquiring a blade of k-space calibration data; acquiring a set of T-weighted k-space imaging data, the set of T-weighted k-space imaging data having blades of undersampled k-space data rotated about a section of k-space. Each blade of undersampled k-space data includes first data points having acquired data and second data points that are missing data. The method also includes generating a set of reconstruction weights for the blades of undersampled k-space data using the blade of k-space calibration data; synthesizing k-space data for at least a portion of the second data points using the set of reconstruction weights; and generating a T-weighted image using the T-weighted k-space imaging data and the synthesized k-space data.

X-Ray System For Use In Image Guided Procedures

US Patent:
2005025, Nov 10, 2005
Filed:
May 10, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/842181
Inventors:
Charles Mistretta - Madison WI, US
Howard Rowley - Madison WI, US
Michael Van Lysel - Madison WI, US
International Classification:
A61B005/05
US Classification:
600407000, 600425000
Abstract:
An x-ray system for use with image-guided medical procedures is programmed to move in a first scan path to acquire cone beam attenuation data from which a three-dimensional digital subtraction angiogram of selected vasculature is reconstructed. The x-ray system is also programmed to move in a second scan path to acquire a series of tomosynthesis images during the inflow of a contrast agent into the selected vasculature. Parametric images are produced from information in the tomosynthesis images which indicate blood perfusion physiology of the tissues served by the vasculature.
