A method and apparatus for producing a specimen slide for microscopic evaluation by spinning a slide containing a liquid sample on its surface angled 10. degree. to 70. degree. from the axis of rotation, whereby the centrifugal force thereby applied causes the liquid sample to form a thin streak over the slide.
