Harvey grew up in Vienna, Austria, a city deeply entrenched in culture including rich traditional and modern architecture. Harvey received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado with Honors and his Masters degree in Architecture from Harvard with a letter of commendation, studying both business and law classes. Harvey was also an architecture exchange student at MIT. After graduating, Harvey stayed in Boston and worked at an architectural museum design firm and taught design at the Boston Architectural Center. He then moved back to the sunnier skies of Colorado and worked for the ”dean” of Colorado architecture, Bill Muchow. Harvey founded Harvey M. Hine Architects, P.C. in 1989. Simultaneously, he continued to pursue his interest in teaching architectural design, but this time at the University of Colorado. Harvey’s diverse architectural education and teaching experience has laid a foundation for a solid architectural practice.
