Get patients comfortable and prepare them for treatments and procedures. Sterilize and lay out dental instruments for the dentist's use. Prepare the work area for patient by setting out instruments and materials. Hand instruments to the dentist during an examination. Take and process x-rays. Keep patients' mouths dry by using suction hoses or other equipment. Remove sutures. Apply anesthetics to gums and anti-cavity agents to teeth such as sealant and fluoride. Lab work, making plaster casts from teeth and mouth impressions. Cleaning and polishing mouth guards, dentures and other removable appliances. Perform orthodontic measurements. I have done cephalometric measurements x-ray as panoramics, skull antero-posterior and skull lateral. Also, I have done plaster casts, mods of teeth and preparing materials necessary for certain procedures. Instruct patients in proper dental hygiene.
