I have experience providing individual therapy which includes treatment planning, intake interviewing, and writing clinical notes. Also I have experience providing group therapy, and I have a great collection of resources and handouts for a variety of topics. I have facilitated groups addressing self-esteem, acceptance, grief and loss, processing groups, substance abuse 12 step groups, domestic violence, anger management, vocational/future focused groups with the inmate population, and TREM groups which is designed specifically for women who have experienced trauma, and experience PTSD symptoms. I have experience working with co-occurring disorders, and understanding the symptomology and diagnostic process. I have experience utilizing DBT/CBT techniques, motivational interviewing, active listening, crisis intervention skills, and mediation skills. I have strong writing skills, and have become comfortable with writing clinical notes, case studies, and case reports. Communication, and interpersonal skills are also strong areas that I possess, I enjoy working as a part of a team. I have the ability to build and maintain positive therapeutic relationships, and professional relationships within the work environment.
