Abstract:
The writing instrument includes a cap and a barrel. The cap includes threads which engage the threads on the barrel. In addition, the cap includes protrusions which engage protrusions on the barrel. The threads are designed so that the cap will engage the stop surface in approximately one third of a revolution. When the protrusions move past each other, the user perceives a tactile and/or audible indication. This indication advises the user that the cap has been fully attached to the barrel. In addition, the cap includes ribs on the exterior surface to assist the user in grasping the cap and in rotating the cap.

Abstract:
A cap for use with marking instruments having a barrel which carries at one end a marking nib. The cap comprises a generally cylindrical shell which is open at both ends. A conical shaped nib sealing element is disposed within the interior of the shell and spaced from each end thereof. The nib sealing element is adapted to fit over and seal the marking nib and is spaced from the cap shell to permit air to pass therebetween.

Abstract:
A luggage device includes: (a) a main housing, the main housing having a top, a bottom, and walls, and having an opening area for insertion of one or more items into the main housing, with closure means; (b) load determination component connected to the main housing at the bottom, having at least one base member with a first position where it is not in contact with and resting on a separate surface under weight of the luggage device, and having a second position where it is in contact with and resting on a separate surface under weight of the luggage device, and is capable of weight determination; (c) load determination display mechanism connected to the load determination component for display of weight determined. In yet other embodiments, the present invention luggage device is arranged so that the handle rather than the bottom is utilized to function as part of the weighing capability.

Abstract:
Means for coupling together two assemblies wherein the first assembly has an end wall formed by a first apertured plate, and the second assembly includes an end wall to which is secured a rotatable end plate. The rotatable end plate carries clamping means which can engage and clamp to apertures in the first apertured plate of the first assembly, whereby the two assemblies are coupled together. In using the apparatus, the two assemblies are positioned adjacent to each other with the rotatable plate and first apertured plate in alignment and the clamping means on the rotatable plate engaging apertures in the first apertured plate. Rotation of the rotatable plate then locks the assemblies together.
