Board certified in five areas of expertise, Dr. Le-Bert chose cardiology as a specialty because he witnessed how heart disease affected his own family. “I wish I could have spent more time with my grandparents but they all suffered from heart disease. I want to keep people’s hearts healthy so that they can have more time with their own families.” As Director of the Cardio-Pulmonary Department at Baptist Medical Center Nassau, Dr. Le-Bert is now seeing his dream of helping others live longer, healthier lives become a reality. While he enjoys his leadership role at the hospital, Dr.Le-Bert’s daily focus is on diagnosing and successfully treating the heart health of the individual patients he sees in his private practice. His philosophy centers around the idea that a patient is much more than a presenting symptom; each person is a complete human being to be evaluated and treated as an individual. “Each patient I see is unique and special. And, they are all family to me” he says.
