Interests:
Languages--I slowly but steadily improve my abilities in Russian and Spanish. I can squeak by to a lesser degree in German and Japanese. The native speakers of French have asked me to never speak their language again...
Teaching--I enjoy teaching seven different, 3-hour postgraduate classes each year, on subjects ranging from risk analysis to performance bond intricacies.
Craftsman Style homes...I find these to be the golden age of architecture.
I cannot resist long walks...through half completed project sites. When my wife and I go shopping, she's looking at the rows of merchandise; while my gaze drifts either up at the roof trusses or over at the forklift.
Honor & Awards:
Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, numerous other military awards
