Boom Construction For Sliding Boom Delimeers

US Patent:
5568829, Oct 29, 1996
Filed:
Dec 16, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/357110
Inventors:
Richard H. Crawford - Rapid City SD
Brad A. Sintek - Rapid City SD
Gary M. Hamilton - Rapid City SD
Assignee:
Lake Shove, Inc. - Iron Mountain MI
International Classification:
B27C 100, A01G 2300
US Classification:
144 2413
Abstract:
An improved boom (24) for a sliding boom delimber (10) is disclosed formed from a prestressed, conventional I beam (28). A first segment of a cable bundle (70) extends from the grapple head (36) and is secured adjacent the lower flange (32) of the I beam (28). The second segment of the cable bundle (70) is inside and carried by an energy chain (74) and includes first and second, inversely related, linear portions interconnected by a third, C-shaped portion. A sag plate (60) is coextensive with the first segment and located on the opposite side of the first segment than the lower flange (32) for preventing the first portion from sagging and engaging the first segment. Sides (50, 52) extend from the outer edges of the I beam flanges (30, 32) for partially enclosing the energy chain (74). Supports (42, 54, 62) are provided for reinforcing the I beam flanges (30, 32), the sag plate (60), and a side plate (40) extending between the other edges of the flanges (30, 32) on the opposite side of the I beam (28) from the energy chain (74).

Method Of Reinforcing A Motorcycle Frame During Conversion To A Motorized Tricycle

US Patent:
2012001, Jan 26, 2012
Filed:
Jul 23, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/842136
Inventors:
Alan Dean McCoy - Spearfish SD, US
Gary Martin Hamilton - Rapid City SD, US
Thore Jenshus - Rapid City SD, US
International Classification:
B21D 53/88
US Classification:
298972
Abstract:
A method of reinforcing an L-shaped motorcycle frame during conversion to a motorized tricycle. The L-shaped motorcycle frame is an inverted L-shape with a horizontal portion and a vertical portion. A tricycle frame is provided having spaced apart side plates with a forwardly and downwardly extending portion which terminates in a mounting attachment. The side plates are fastened to opposed sides of the horizontal portion of the L-shaped motorcycle frame. The mounting attachment is secured to the vertical portion of the L-shaped motorcycle frame. This forms a triangular truss with the forwardly and downwardly extending portion of the side plates of the tricycle frame angled between the horizontal portion and the vertical portion to provide rigid support to the L-shaped motorcycle frame.

Separating Tank Assembly And Method Of Draining Separating Tank

US Patent:
7156896, Jan 2, 2007
Filed:
May 4, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/837675
Inventors:
Travis Schenk - Spearfish SD, US
James Isaac Meyer - Spearfish SD, US
Jeffrey Jochim - Belle Fourche SD, US
Gary M. Hamilton - Rapid City SD, US
Assignee:
Ramvac Dental Products, Inc. - Spearfish SD
International Classification:
A61C 17/00
US Classification:
95 24, 96168, 433 95
Abstract:
A separating tank assembly enables a dental vacuum separating tank to be drained without using a pump and without turning off or isolating the vacuum source from the tank. A drain tank is provided in fluid communication with the separating tank, and a control valve controls a pressure differential between the drain tank and the fluid tank. When the separating tank is filling, the drain tank and separating tank pressures are equalized, and the tanks are in fluid communication. When the fluid in the drain tank reaches a predetermined level, the solenoid opens the drain tank to atmosphere, blocking fluid communication between the separating tank and the drain tank and opening fluid communication between the drain tank and a sewer drain. After the fluid is drained, the solenoid reopens fluid communication between the separating tank and the drain tank, and the pressures in the respective tanks are equalized.

Clutch And A Method Of Modifying A Clutch

US Patent:
2012018, Jul 26, 2012
Filed:
Jan 25, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/013165
Inventors:
Don WISHARD - Newell SD, US
Brad CARLSON - Whitewood SD, US
Stuart WILLIAMS - Spearfish SD, US
Gary HAMILTON - Rapid City SD, US
Assignee:
LEHMAN TRIKES U.S.A., INC. - Spearfish SD
International Classification:
F16D 25/12, F16D 19/00, B23P 11/00, F16D 21/00
US Classification:
192 8563, 192 82 R, 192 892, 294011
Abstract:
A manually-operated clutch has an actuator and a force limiter. The actuator has a control portion and an engagement portion, the control portion controlling a motive force that engages the engagement portion with a transmission. The force limiter is between the control portion and the engagement portion and limits the motive force above a predetermined threshold.
