Dr. Bircham has been involved the pre-operative and post-operative care of thousands of LASER Vision Correction patients since 1995. He is a lifelong resident of Colorado where he attended Doherty High School in Colorado Springs and where his family continues to remain active in local business and politics. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biological science from Colorado State University in Fort Collins graduating cum laude in 1985. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physiological optics and a Doctorate degree in Optometry from the University of California at Berkeley. He received the J. Howard Bailey Award for the best O.D. thesis in administrative science in 1989. Whilst in Northern California, he completed optometric externships at Letterman Army Hospital, Mare Island Naval Facility, and Travis Air Force Base. Dr. Bircham is member of several distinguished honor societies including Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Beta Sigma Kappa. He belongs to the American Optometric Association, the Colorado Optometric Association, the Southern Colorado Optometric Society, the Denver Optometric Society, and the Optometric Council of Refractive Technology. Dr. Bircham makes his home in Parker, Colorado with his wife, Belinda and their miniature Schnauzer, Abby. When he is not tending to his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing chess, whitewater rafting, ATV recreation, camping and trout fishing.
