Philosophy:
With over 25 years experience as a licensed psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, and crisis counselor, I maintain a private practice in Rockland, Maine providing individual, couples, and family counseling. My areas of practice include specializations in the treatment of psychological trauma, catastrophic illnesses, anxiety disorders, depression, and addictions.
My treatment style is solution-focused and provides support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing issues. My therapeutic approach is to teach techniques that clients can use independently to effectively address personal life challenges. My clients have found my approaches in using therapeutic hypnosis effective in restructuring thought patterns and feelings that might otherwise be barriers to personal growth.
My clinical interventions are a blend of traditional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of treatment modalities and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for you. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and achieve the personal goals they are committed to accomplishing.
Finding the right therapist can take time and is vitally important to your success. To make this process easier, I welcome the opportunity to talk with clients prior to scheduling an appointment and encourage you to contact me for a free telephone consultation.
